Retail Pharmacy Tech

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required, post-high school education preferred.
One year prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials preferred.
Work Hours

1.We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Pharmacy Tech to work Monday- Friday between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm. Includes a Saturday rotation (7:30am-1:00pm).

2. We are also seeking a casual Pharmacy Tech to fill shifts Monday- Saturday (as needed basis). Includes a weekend rotation.


Job Summary

The Pharmacy Tech plays a fundamental role in the operation of the Ambulatory Pharmacy. The technician must be skilled in all functions of the department that do not require the professional judgment or activity of the pharmacist. The technician is relied upon to maintain basic department operations and to follow policies and procedures as outlined by the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Director, the hospital administration, and state and federal law, rules and regulations. The technician works under the direct supervision of the Lead Pharmacist and must be flexible to the demands of the daily workflow.
