Frequently Asked Questions

Pay tribute to friends or loved ones through a charitable gift. Whether in sympathy, as a living memorial or in honor of a birthday or special occasion, your gift is an example of your loving concern for others. A gift in memory included in your will extends your personal influence beyond your lifetime and provides ongoing support to people in need.

Planned annual gifts of cash or securities are the most common form of giving. Gifts linked to retirement plans, life insurance, charitable annuities or remainder trusts help fulfill charitable wishes while enhancing your financial security.

To receive more information about estate planning, bequests, retirement assets and more, email us at foundation@southwesthealth.org, or talk with your personal financial planner or estate advisor for independent advice.

Memorial and tribute gifts are announced via special cards sent to family members. The cards may list contributors or you may choose to remain anonymous. The specific gift amount is not mentioned, yet a dignified and meaningful message informs the card recipient of your memorial or tribute.

Gifts of appreciated property can be an attractive alternative to cash. You can double your tax benefits with a gift of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate or property.

The role of the foundation is to offer a vehicle for supporters to invest in their community and assure the future of quality healthcare at Southwest Health. Our top priority is the health of our communities with a mission of creating a healthier southwest Wisconsin.

Today, thanks to our foundation’s donors:

  • Southwest Health offers women the most advanced digital mammography available.
  • Heart and lung conditions can be diagnosed easier with new plethysmography capnography units.
  • Crucial blood tests can be performed faster and more accurately with a new chemistry analyzer.
  • Surgery can be performed with less pain and better results with a new VNUS (a minimally invasive alternative to vein stripping surgery) equipment.
  • Hearing problems in newborn babies can be diagnosed earlier with the help of equipment.
  • Patients have greater privacy, more comfort and greater access to doctors, care and advanced technology since the construction of a new hospital in 2005.

The kindness and generosity of our donors have made important and measurable impacts on the health of our communities. Their gifts truly represent our foundation’s mission: Investing in Our Future. For Life.

The “right time” to make a donation is when it’s right for you. Many of our contributors began their relationship with our foundation during its recent capital campaign. The campaign has helped provide a new hospital and many of our friends continue their support to save and enhance lives throughout southwest Wisconsin.
